Salary circa £24,000 per annum

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Events Executive with exhibitions experience. Working as part of the PR team, you will be the face of the company at Exhibitions, Outdoor shows and events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and co-ordinate the companies presence at shows and events.
  • Monitor and report on performance of show activities and identify, document and provide analysis on areas of improvement for future shows, and provide feedback to the business stakeholders.
  • Liaising with departments regarding staffing, literature and promotion
  • Liaising with Distribution Centre regarding required literature and varied venue locations
  • Provide robust plans and schedules for the entire exhibition, outdoor show and events calendar in a timely manner, ensuring that all stakeholders are made aware of and are able to contribute to successful delivery.
  • Be a point of contact for staff relating to the management and logistics of the stand
  • Liaising with the event organisers regarding negotiation on space size, position, sponsorship and ticket offers also ad-hoc issues as and when they arise.
  • Liaising with stand designers and show organisers regarding the design and construction of the stand
  • Liaising with the outdoor trailer supplier regarding the movement and up-keep of the outdoor unit
  • Arrange hotel and travel bookings
  • Source and direct the use of voluntary assistance in the organisation of these events to maximise resources available
  • In liaison with Line Manager, manage trade and show budget allocation within agreed budget parameters in accordance with department objectives.
  • Support for the Publicity and Industry Relations Department including ad hoc assistance with technical data entry.
  • Support Industry Competitions by attending events and managing scoring.

What you will need

  • Proven experience in a similar Events role
  • Good negotiation, sales and marketing skills
  • Budget awareness and analytical skills
  • Administration and IT skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative
  • High degree of flexibility required as unsocial hours may be necessary
  • Relevant Professional qualification such as CIM, or willing to work towards, would be beneficial
