2/3 month contract


We are working with a company in the education sector to recruit an Events Coordinator. Working into the Events Manager, you will be responsible for set up and delivery of events during this contract.

The job

  • Developing and delivering project plans
  • Liaison with venues, suppliers and contractors
  • Helping co-ordinate delivery schedules
  • Co-ordinating elements of the set-up and break-down of the Ceremonies
  • Delivering punctual FOH or stage set-up procedures
  • Monitoring Health & Safety throughout the ceremony set-up, operation, and take-down process in their operational area
  • Liaison with staff involved in aspects of the Ceremonies, including Academic Services, Estates and Facilities, Accommodation and Hospitality, Health and Safety, Finance
  • Assistance and advice on producing collateral materials (eg banners)

What you need:

  • Good experience of working in an events co-ordination role
  • Experience of co-ordinating events in external venues
  • First Aid training – would be useful not essential
  • Experience of using database systems
  • Social media skills
  • Experience of working within the corporate/public sector
  • Experience of dealing with external suppliers and contractors
  • Experience of co-ordinating teams of manual/technical/admin personnel
  • Flexibility to work longer hours when needed

Based in Brighton this is a 2 or 3 month contract role. We are also recruiting an Events Administrator.
