Group Digital Director

Hybrid / Brighton office

Salary circa £80k

A global organisation is expanding and they are looking for a Digital Director with a background in fashion, beauty or retail. They are looking for someone at with strategic and proven skills in digital marketing, ecommerce and leadership to join the matrix led Board.

The key focus will be to take full corporate leadership for strategy and the route to market for several brands, both B2B and B2C in the UK and globally. Working with multiple teams including marketing, IT and Creative, this role will lead the optimisation of the website, ecommerce offering, digital presence and online marketing.

Responsibilities for the Digital Director job include:

  • Ownership of the corporate website and other digital routes to market, especially ecommerce to achieve targets and KPIs for a rapidly growing business.

  • Create and lead the team (possibly including external agencies) that support digital marketing of the business – PPC, SEO & Email

  • Develop a strong CRM plan to maintain a solid retention strategy, ensuring maximum traffic and retention of customers to be supported by both on and offline activity

  • Understanding the nuances of working in a B2B environment with beauty and/or fashion to deliver relevant communication is likely to be critical to success here, as is previous experience of working in an SME Founder led environment (ideally)

  • The experience and gravitas tolead people towards a new more powerful digital future – is the crux of this role.

For this Global Digital Director job you must have:

  • Board level experience, and lots of it, of leading, developing and delivering, on Digital Strategy for fashion or beauty or similar brand-centric businesses

  • Solid and up to date knowledge of SEO, PPC and Email marketing strategies, and the ability to to lead such knowledge into genuine business strategic advance

  • Strong analytical and commercial approach, with subtly of style and subject matter expertise

  • Proven ability to gather resources and to lead a team

  • Ability to manage internal processes and senior stakeholders

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment embedded with senior stakeholders

  • Being able to join us at short notice (or even immediately) would be particularly attractive
