Talent Hub are working in partnership with a successful creative agency based in the heart of beautiful Sussex. We are looking for a creative, engaging and talented designer who can lead a team of experienced designers and elevate creative briefs, lead creative at pitches.

Working across a mix of sectors and design briefs, this opportunity could suit an experienced designer who is looking to create brilliant design campaigns closer to home and enjoy work life balance, removing the London commute and late night pitch deadlines!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Turn design briefs into innovative creative concepts for all marketing channels

  • You'll be in charge of guiding the creative direction and setting the bar for their design standard

  • Work with the account management team, set up schedules, manage the workflow, and ensure everything they produce is on time and to the highest standard. You’ll be the first point of contact on all resource and traffic issues.

  • You'll confidently share your creative ideas with clients and their creative team in a clear and understandable way, driving creative for the pitch process

  • Inspire, manage and lead their creative team, helping them grow and do their best work​

What you will need for this Head of Design job:

  • Degree in design, a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • Previous experience in a senior level Design, Creative role or Studio Manger, looking for the next step

  • Skills in team management, inspiring design and creative ideas

  • Experience of leading design for a creative agency or inhouse agency

  • Experience of working across b2b as well as b2c design briefs

  • A strong portfolio showcasing various design projects and styles

  • Design pro: Fluent in the Adobe Creative suite, focusing on Premier Pro, Illustrator

  • Photoshop, InDesign and XD, as well as Microsoft Suite.
